We recently celebrated with former CEO of UF Health Jacksonville, Russ Armistead, as he rang the proton therapy bell signifying the completion of his treatments. Armistead received 30 days of proton therapy treatment to treat several melanomas. It was a full-circle moment as a crowd of familiar faces from UF Health Jacksonville and the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville gathered to witness the moment. During a brief speech, Armistead mentioned how comforting it was to receive treatment on the same campus he dedicated years of his career.

Congratulations to our North Campus LDRP unit on receiving the Gold Star Award for the third time in a row. Because of their incredible outcomes and dedication to providing the best patient care and experience, #OurCareNeverQuits
I’m thrilled to share that UF Health Jacksonville’s North Campus LDRP unit was recently awarded the Gold Star Award for achieving the highest average Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) domain score for last quarter. This is the third time in a row that the unit has received the Gold Star Award. The unit also received the Masters of Communication Award for exceeding patient expectations by our Patient & Family Partnership Council for Quality & Safety. The incredible outcomes delivered by our LDRP North Campus shows our team’s commitment to providing not only best-in-class patient care, but patient experience too. Because of their dedication, and that of all of our employees, #OurCareNeverQuits.
