Good friends and a good book! 🕮 Our residents from The Shores recently enjoyed another fun trip to the Ocean City Free Public Library! We are so thankful for our relationship with the library and its tremendous staff. Their institution plays a prominent role not just in the local community, but in the lives of our residents and teammates as well. Nothing beats cozying up to a good book, and there is no shortage of options of those at the OCPL! We look forward to our next visit! 😀

QUIET ON THE SET! 🎬 Over the past couple of weeks, our residents have been treated to a Hollywood experience, as The Shores has doubled as a movie set for Shirley MacLaine's upcoming film, "People Not Places!" Some of our lucky residents and teammates were even asked to play small roles in the movie itself, so be on the lookout for future release information. It was truly wonderful to interact with such an amazing cast and crew, and seeing the smiles on our residents' faces was absolutely priceless. Special thanks to Director Brad Furman and his team for making it a once and a lifetime experience for our residents! And to Shirley MacLaine, you are the BEST, thank you for your kindness and generosity. It is an experience so many of us will never forget! Stay tuned for more behind the scenes content next week! 😊

UMC UNIVERSITY! 🎓 We hosted another successful UMC University session last week at the UMC Home Office in Neptune, NJ! The attending class was comprised of a wide variety of bright minds from the #UMCFamily, with teammates from all over the organization taking part. As part of our "rolling admission model," some students received their UMC University diploma, while others took part in their first lesson! Topics for the session were led by our UMC Senior Leadership team and included: "Risk Management and Corporate Compliance," "Heart Head Heart Method of Communicating Through Conflict," and "Hire Education: An overview of hiring the right candidate, including labor law basics and behavioral interviewing." We'll see you next time!! 😀
