Since 1973, United HomeCare® has been dedicated to improving the quality of life of older (60+), disabled adults (18-59), and their family caregivers; focusing on the prevention of premature placement of individuals in nursing homes or other institutions. As the oldest and longest serving Community Care for the Elderly Lead Agency in Miami-Dade County, UHC has served a multitude of clients with the utmost care and respect. We are an experienced, client-centered, full service home care organization with a talented and dedicated group of more than 1,100 employees and volunteers. United HomeCare offers a full range of short and long-term services designed to help you or your loved one maintain the highest possible level of self-sufficiency. A home care professional will coordinate your care and see that you receive the services you need timely, effectively, and with the compassion and knowledge that comes from years of caring. Our personal care employees are thoroughly screened, reference checked, insured, and supervised by a Registered Nurse. Over the years, we have earned a reputation for pioneering advances in home care programs, disease management, and caregiver support programs. All are designed to promote wellness and independence through an interdisciplinary approach. Our clients benefit from the knowledge and experience of professionals who specialize in care for the elderly and disabled. Our agency is licensed by the State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration and accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, Long-term Care Insurance, and private funds. We administer a combination of state, local, federal, and privately-funded programs, and can assist you in finding programs for which you may be eligible.
