About us
United Way of Treasure Valley is changing the odds for members of our community through health, education and financial independence. Through careful research, United Way identifies the biggest local needs. To meet those needs, United Way brings together people and organizations with the passion, expertise and resources necessary to improve our community. We strive to build change that lasts for generations. --- We help children and youth achieve their potential through education. --- We improve people’s health through preventive action and access to care. --- We promote financial independence. Really, it’s about preventing problems before they begin. It takes everyone working together to build something better. Each of us can give, advocate or volunteer. We all can Live United.

We just love fries. We also love working with community partners to alleviate food insecurity, and that’s exactly what we do with our friends at J.R. Simplot Company and The Idaho Food Bank. If you’re a fan of crispy collaborations, or just want to get involved and help your community, double-dip into our DM’s. Or check the links in our bio. We’re all about changing the odds for a more equitable future. PS, thanks for hosting Free Fryday, Simplot! Our tastebuds are still thinking about it. 🍟🥔 #Boise #FryDay

Our Community Schools team was thrilled to welcome 40 school and district administrators from all over Idaho to Boise for a Leadership Intensive! During this session, school leaders were able to hear about the implementation of the Community School Strategy from other Idaho principals and superintendents. We were also lucky enough to have speakers from @coalitionforcommunityschools share some practical steps for engaging community partners, and diving into the work! United Way of Treasure Valley is honored to serve as the backbone agency for the Idaho Coalition for Community Schools. We strive to support students and strengthen communities everywhere. Thank you to all who attended, to @idaho.sde for welcoming us to your space, and to @dawsontaylorroasters for keeping us caffeinated!

We are thrilled to share that our Director of Community Impact, Megan Remaley, has been recognized as one of this year's Women of the Year! For 19 years, Idaho Business Review has been honoring the accomplishments of amazing, professional women throughout the Gem State. This year's honorees were selected based on professional achievement, leadership, mentorship and community service. Megan's leadership of our Community Impact work, notably the Rural Expansion Initiative for Community Schools, is an incredible example of how United Way of Treasure Valley mobilizes the caring power of our community to change the odds so everyone can thrive. #UnitedWayTV #CommunityImpact #WomenoftheYear
