Dirt is moving on the newest United-Blythe JV project. The SC 160 and I-77 Interchange Reconfiguration Project is located in Fort Mill, SC and was described by former Secretary Hall as "a very unique interchange design." The project will reconfigure the existing diamond interchange at Exit 85 to improve access between SC 160 and I-77. The new configuration is called an offset direction interchange, which will not only reduce left-turn issues on SC 160, but will also improve intersection spacing and reduce congestion on SC 160. This will be the first of its kind in South Carolina. The project will also widen over one mile of SC 160 through the interchange from US 21 to Pleasant Road. (Article) https://lnkd.in/efvA7buC

A new bridge on US 301 southbound over the South Edisto River in Orangeburg County is now open to traffic. Crews are now working to complete the project, which includes paving and placement of pavement markings on this stretch of highway. As crews finish up construction this month, SCDOT asks drivers to use caution and to look out for temporary lane closures in both directions.

Project Update in Dorchester County with Banks Construction Company and UIG as a bridge subcontractor on Berlin G Myers 7 bridges. Integral Pier Caps have been poured at Bridge 4 and all of the caps on Bridge 5 are complete. All approach slabs and decks have been poured at Bridge 6 and 7. All Barrier walls have been poured on Bridges 2, 3, 6, and 7. Phase 2 of Bridges 6 and 7 are substantially complete!
