Comprehensive Natural Gas Service Enabled by Subsurface Compression
About us
Upwing Energy is securing global energy needs in an economical and environmentally sustainable way. We help our clients increase the production and recovery of natural gas from their existing wells with minimal human and capital resources and minimal environmental impact. We minimize the need for costly human and capital resources by providing a comprehensive End2End natural gas service enabled by our subsurface compressor systems. We minimize environmental impact by mitigating the need to drill and frack new natural gas wells, producing net-zero carbon emission gas when possible by using renewable energy to power our subsurface compressors, and maintaining our carbon neutrality as a company.

Increased use of artificial intelligence and electrification of the economy is leading to projections for U.S. power demand to skyrocket in the coming decade. Renewable energies and traditional sources together will play an essential role in supplying this demand while ensuring reliable power is available at all times. Now, more than ever, we must look towards solutions that support decarbonization goals while providing energy required to power our nation. Upwing’s SCS maximizes use of existing assets, improving efficiency of a traditional energy source while minimizing emissions associated with its production. https://lnkd.in/gDzPP82t

The global upstream industry is anticipated to see an increased number of deals through the remainder of 2024, which could be worth $150 billion. M&A activity in North America specifically is expected to be a driving force for the rest of the year. In the first quarter of 2024, dealmaking in the sector increased 145% globally year-over-year and has been at its highest since 2019. As the demand for gas-producing resources rises, so does the appetite of companies for expanded M&A activity. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gR6WGH_p

In January, the Biden Administration announced the pause of new licenses for LNG exports, but this decision is having an impact far beyond just the US. Being the largest exporter of LNG in the world, countries are dependent on LNG exports from America to keep their economies steady. This pause greatly impacts the global energy sector, and is predicted to intensify global coal emissions, as LNG is often used as a cleaner and more accessible alternative. Asian countries, in particular, may need to resort back to the burning of coal without LNG to develop their economy and keep up with a rapidly growing population. While renewables are playing an important part in the energy transition, it is unrealistic to rely solely on renewable sources as they cannot alone meet our modern energy needs, and may never fully takeover the energy grid. Energy innovations are instead powering the current energy landscape, working with sources that are already readily available, including technological advancements with blue hydrogen, natural gas and nuclear fusion. Working to lower emissions through continuous improvements can help us work towards a more successful energy transition.
