A mysterious new political action committee has spent $36,000 on ads urging President Joe Biden to leave the 2024 race, including in his home state of Delaware during "Morning Joe," his favorite television program. Pass the Torch PAC was created July 9, according to records from the Federal Election Commission, 12 days after Biden's disastrous debate against Donald Trump, where the president appeared to lose his train of thought and failed to counter his opponent's statements. Aaron Regunberg, a former Democratic state lawmaker from Rhode Island, told USA TODAY he is a co-founder of the group, but declined to say who is financing it. The group's listed treasurer says on his LinkedIn page that he is a compliance expert who helps Democrats and progressives. USA TODAY https://lnkd.in/e3VGzNvB

DEI may be under attack, but business leaders are not retreating from the commitments they made after George Floyd died under a white officer’s knee. A new survey from the Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals and YourCause from Blackbaud showed that companies are not wavering. In fact, 13% of them have increased their DEI commitments. Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals CEO Carolyn S. Berkowitz says the survey “sends a clear signal” that the conservative backlash has not weakened support for DEI.

It may be Amazon Prime Day, but that's not the only place you can get a good deal this week. Several retailers are hosting their own competing sales to get in on the action. We're keeping tabs on product markdowns across the board here at Reviewed, part of the USA TODAY Network. "Amazon is not the only player in town. Each year, we also encourage our readers to shop around for better, competing deals at Walmart, Nordstrom and Target, among other big retailers. Walmart had a huge sale last week, but a lot of great deals are still available this week to compete with Amazon. Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale is happening right now with a lot of great options. Target has some amazing deals, too. In fact, some things I was going to buy on Amazon are actually cheaper at Target. I hope everyone keeps their eyes open and shops around to get the best deals," says Senior Director of Business Development Jessica Henig. #Amazon #Shopping #PrimeDay
