Growing up on USA Triathlon’s Youth and Junior Elite circuit, Seth Rider is no newbie! A member of the U.S. Elite Triathlon National Team for several years, Rider holds an impressive resume. Rider also races in off-road mountain biking triathlons, notably placing fourth at the 2021 XTERRA World Championships. With an outstanding race resume, Rider is ready to strut his stuff in Paris! Two more U.S. Elite Paratriathletes are headed to Paris! 🤩 Two-time Paralympic gold medalist Allysa Seely and Paralympic newcomer Rachel Watts have been added to the roster of elite paratriathletes who will represent the U.S. at this summer’s Paralympic Games Paris 2024. 🇺🇸 Seely, who will race in her third Paralympic Games in Paris, received one of the 16 Bipartite invitations available from the Bipartite Commission, which is formed by World Triathlon and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) that ultimately approves the proposals. Watts joins the team via a country slot reallocation. Their additions to the team now give the U.S. a roster of 17 elite paratriathletes and two guides who will race this September at the Paralympic Games in Paris. 🎉

Congratulations to all paratriathletes who raced this Sunday, June 23 at the 2024 USA Paratriathlon National Championships, held in conjunction with the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin! Organized by Race Day Events, the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon has long been a para-friendly USA Triathlon Sanctioned Race, twice hosting the Paratriathlon National Championships in 2017 and 2018. The 2024 Paratriathlon National Championships returned to the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon, which starts and finishes in the picturesque setting of Prairie Springs Park. Lake Andrea, a sparkling 100-acre spring-fed lake served as the swim venue. The 2024 Paratriathlon National Championships offered paratriathletes the opportunity to race in the spotlight as U.S. Elite Paratriathlon National Team members focus on final preparation for the 2024 Paralympic Games Paris this summer. USA Triathlon, in partnership with the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), for the fifth consecutive year offered a $20,000 professional prize purse to athletes who medaled in their para classifications. https://lnkd.in/gmUXudyB
