🌊 For this 3rd #WaterSchool topic we’ll talk about blue water! Blue water is the ⭐𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀⭐, but it's also more than that – it's the lifeblood of our planet. From the ancient Nile floods that birthed Egyptian civilization to the modern-day reservoirs powering our cities, blue water has always been crucial. But our control over blue water comes at a cost. We've built many dams around the world, altering natural flows and affecting the natural water cycle. Our activities, from agriculture to industry, have turned us into major actors in the water cycle, for better or worse. 🌿 It's time to rethink how we manage this vital resource.
