We're excited to present our new series, #VerveVocab. In this bimonthly series, Verve team members will take complex scientific concepts and vocabulary related to #cardiovascular disease, #geneediting, and beyond, and make them crystal clear. First up, let's dive into "lipid nanoparticles," or in simpler terms, LNPs!

We are on a mission to protect the world from cardiovascular disease.
About us
Verve Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company created with a singular focus: to protect the world from heart disease. Founded by world-leading experts in cardiovascular medicine, human genetics and gene editing, the company aims to develop transformative, once-and-done therapies for coronary heart disease. Verve’s gene editing medicines are designed to safely edit the genome of adults and mimic naturally occurring gene variants to permanently lower LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The company is advancing a pipeline of precision genetic medicines, led by VERVE-101, which is being developed initially for heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, a potentially fatal genetic heart disease. In 2023, Verve was recognized as a "Best Places to Work" by the Boston Globe. Verve is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.

Pride is in the air! We displayed every color of the rainbow at our Pride-themed tie dye event earlier this month in celebration of the diversity within the LGBTQ+ community. In addition, thanks to Dr. Wiley Davi for joining us to share the power of pause and importance of assessing your own assumptions and biases related to someone’s identity/intentions/actions. Here's to embracing our differences and a future of inclusivity. #PrideMonth

A bittersweet moment as our spring co-ops share their learnings from their time with us in a final poster session. In just a short time, these students partnered with members of our team to learn about our science in the #cardiovascular space and captured the essence of a scientist's day-to-day. To our co-ops, best of luck on your future endeavors in science!

We ❤️ STEM education! Science from Scientists and STEMatch are organizations with the goal of teaching and inspiring the next generation to identify and solve real-world problems by improving #STEM literacy, and we're thrilled to take part in their missions. We recently had the chance to connect with children and young adults within our community through a variety of fun and educational activities: ⭐ STEM Day at Fenway - Verve volunteers celebrated a successful day at Fenway expressing the joys of science through a science theater event, showcasing exciting experiments including exploding coke bottles, a bed of nails, and more. ⭐ Spring 2024 Classroom Visits - Vervians headed back to school and participated in lessons about oil spills and owl pellet dissections. ⭐ Student Visitation at Verve - Students stepped into our world to understand a day in our shoes. We enjoyed sharing the ins and outs of #biotech and what goes on within our laboratories.
