We welcomed back four extraordinary trauma patients who have embarked on incredible journeys of recovery from severe injuries at the recent Trauma Survivor Honor Day event. 👏 It is with great pride that we honor these individuals and the first responders, nurses, physicians, technicians, therapists and staff who played pivotal roles in their care and rehabilitation. We came together to reflect on our collective achievements and celebrate the compassion, expertise and relentless effort that defines our VHC Health team.

Blaine was nominated for the DAISY Award by one of her colleagues who wished to recognize her extraordinary and compassionate care. In the nomination, they wrote: 💬 “Being sick and in the hospital when you’re an active person is not easy. I’m usually pretty shy with new people but I felt so comfortable with her and the way she treated me will never be forgotten. Throughout my experience under her care, Blaine consistently exemplified the qualities of compassion, kindness and dedication. As a patient, I often found myself navigating through moments of uncertainty and vulnerability. However, she never failed to provide a sense of comfort and reassurance. Here genuine concern for my wellbeing extended beyond mere medical assistance. She made it a priority to ensure I felt heard, understood and supported. One of the most remarkable aspects of Blaine’s approach was her unwavering willingness to go above and beyond her duties to accommodate those she is taking care of. No request was too small or too big for her attention. Her willingness to listen attentively and address my concerns with empathy truly made a significant difference in my overall experience here as a patient. ”
