VTA proudly hosted the 2024 American Public Transportation Association Transit Board Member and Administrators Conference in San Jose, the heart of Silicon Valley. From July 13-16, hundreds attended to exchange insights and discuss initiatives to enhance board governance and policy for public transit agencies. VTA appreciates the opportunity to host and lead insightful transportation sessions at the American Public Transportation Association 2024 Transit Board Members and Administrators Seminars. We shared valuable information on enhancing transportation governance, initiatives, and safety with attendees from transportation agencies nationwide. Our discussions covered a wide range of topics, including transit organization, key transit challenges, successes, and strategies for future growth. We also explored innovations in policy and technology, innovative approaches to public and operator security, healthy workplace conversations, and new workforce development models for effective labor relations.
