Several members of the Waséyabek team and leaders from our family of companies participated in the Chief Moguago Golf Against Domestic Violence event on May 31, hosted by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi. Waséyabek was the Golf Ball Sponsor for the event. More than 200 golfers turned out for the event at Binder Golf Course in Battle Creek, Michigan, which is organized to address the high levels of violence experienced by American Indian and Alaska Native people in their lifetimes. Funds raised from this year's Golf Outing will support the NHBP Emergency Needs Pantry, overseen by the NHBP Tribal Court Victims Service Program, the Michigan-based non-profit organization Uniting Three Fires Against Violence, which promotes the social change necessary to address the disproportionate rates of violence impacting our communities, and the “Stolen Sisters” documentary, which highlights the Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women/Persons epidemic.
