Waséyabek portfolio company SAFARI Circuits LLC hosted our cohort of Leadership, Exploration, and Development (LEAD) Program participants this week at their facility in Otsego, Michigan. Nine Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribal Members are working through this year's program, which is designed to provide participants with meaningful opportunities to observe professionals at work and to obtain practical experience in operational areas related to Waséyabek portfolio businesses. Several members of the Waséyabek team and leaders from our family of companies participated in the Chief Moguago Golf Against Domestic Violence event on May 31, hosted by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi. Waséyabek was the Golf Ball Sponsor for the event. More than 200 golfers turned out for the event at Binder Golf Course in Battle Creek, Michigan, which is organized to address the high levels of violence experienced by American Indian and Alaska Native people in their lifetimes. Funds raised from this year's Golf Outing will support the NHBP Emergency Needs Pantry, overseen by the NHBP Tribal Court Victims Service Program, the Michigan-based non-profit organization Uniting Three Fires Against Violence, which promotes the social change necessary to address the disproportionate rates of violence impacting our communities, and the “Stolen Sisters” documentary, which highlights the Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women/Persons epidemic.

On May 6, ACG Detroit honored Waséyabek with a Deal of the Year Award (Under $50MM in Revenue) for our acquisition of VES LLC in 2023! The award was presented during ACG Detroit's M&A All Star Awards at the The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan. Earlier today, Jessi Goldner, Waséyabek's Director of Strategic Engagement & Compliance, served as a panelist at the Grand Rapids Chamber's first-ever Economic Inclusion Summit, held at the Goei Center. Jessi, a Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribal Member, offered her thoughts on diversifying procurement practices as part of a three-person panel that also included Shelton Kilby of Corewell Health and Bob Lundquist of Steelcase. Laura (Gibson) Hopson, President & CEO of EM Services, LLC, served as the panel's moderator.
