Job Description: Develop and maintain SQL queries for data storage and retrieval Create and modify stored procedures Create and modify stored functions Create and modify views using stored procedures or stored functions Create and modify indexes using stored procedures or stored functions Create triggers using stored procedures or stored functions Perform data migration between databases when required Perform data integrity checks on database tables during development and testing phases Perform performance testing on database queries during development and testing phases Support database administration as needed (e.g. patching, backup/restore operations) Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. A strong background in SQL development is required. A strong knowledge of databases, programming, performance testing, etc. is preferred. An understanding of the relational model is preferred. An understanding of the Microsoft SQL Server database engine is preferred. An understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform is preferred. An understanding of ERP systems is preferred. An understanding of cloud computing is a plus. An understanding of cloud-based software solutions for financial advisors is a plus. An ability to work independently is required.     Weiss Ratings LLC is currently hiring for the following job opportunity:   Job Description  Junior Developer    Weiss Ratings LLC is currently recruiting a motivated, enthusiastic Junior Developer to join our team!    Responsibilities include supporting the software development team in all aspects including testing and implementation of products.    Job Responsibilities    · Responsible for assisting the development, information delivery and support of  SQL and Excel company reporting.    · Ensures high levels of data availability.    · Coordinates with programmers and the application development teams to  ensure technical requirements are satisfied effectively and on time.    · Participates in the development of database policies and procedures.    · Effectively works in a team capacity with IT, vendor, and business organizations.    · Provides timely communication to management.    · Assists business users and application developers in mapping data from source to target and preparing prototype models to support the development effort.    · Participates in the design, development, and maintenance of Company databases.    · Assists in maintaining the database development environment.    · Provides significant reporting preparation and support to business users.    · Provides data administration services for production and development databases.      · Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues.    · Assists in the planning and coordination of data migrations between systems.    · Provides programming support for the delivery of business information using  various technical tools such as SQL Reporting and Excel.    · Participates in software installations and upgrades for relational database software.    · Maintains a sound understanding of database security and assists in securing  Company data and platforms from both internal and external threats.    Job Qualifications:  · Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in development.    · Intermediate experience in relational database.    · Well versed in Microsoft SQL Server.    · FoxPro or dBase skills a needed plus.    · Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft software environment.
