Ladybug Idol shines as a hallmark event at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, where we celebrate the remarkable talents of our patients—past and present—their families, and our dedicated WMCHealth colleagues. Performance arts serve as a powerful medium of expression. Our Child Life & Creative Arts Therapy team at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital harnesses this art form as a therapeutic tool, aiding children in navigating the challenges of serious illnesses, injuries, and the hospitalization journey. Hats off to all our inspiring performers! #childlife #musictherapy

We've just wrapped up our annual Trauma Symposium. As the only Level I trauma center in the Hudson Valley, we're dedicated to not just providing top-tier trauma care, but also to empowering our local emergency service members with the knowledge and skills they need to save lives. As the Hudson Valley's trauma care authority, our mission is clear: to train, to teach, and to lead by example. To all who attended, your passion for learning and commitment to patient care is what makes events like this a success. Together, we're not just improving outcomes; we're making a difference in the lives of those we serve. Injury prevention and education are priorities for our Network. This is how a community comes together to save a baby. In London, England, a family faced a dire situation when their unborn son, Adam, was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot with absent pulmonary valve syndrome, a rare congenital heart condition that put Adam's heart and lungs at risk. With few options, the family sought help globally, and Refuah Helpline connected them with our Maria Fareri Children's Hospital. Here, Sameh Said, MD, performed successful heart surgery, offering hope for Adam's future. For more on Adam's story: https://bit.ly/3RFS0VK REFUAH HELPLINE REFERRALS INC

Recently, a family member expressed gratitude, sharing how Ian's unwavering support and transparent communication became a beacon of hope during the family's care journey. According to the family member, amidst the daily highs and lows, Ian's positivity remained constant, and his honesty provided guidance through uncertainty. Would you like to work beside Ian? We believe in the power of advocacy, especially in healthcare. That's why we proudly participate in the annual Family Advocacy Day hosted by the Children's Hospital Association. This event allows us to actively contribute to a cause we deeply care about: ensuring every child has access to quality healthcare. We'd like to acknowledge the efforts of Carina, her mother Noel, and our colleague Mary Delaney. They recently traveled to Capitol Hill and engaged with staff from the offices of U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, U.S. Representative Mike Lawler, and U.S. Representative Jamaal Bowman. Their dedication is commendable, and we're grateful for their representation. #FamilyAdvocacyDay
