A message from our Director of Operations/Co-Founder, Lorenzo McFadden: Roughly a decade ago, I embarked on a journey to cofound a mental health company focused on working with kids and families who have experienced significant levels of distress. This whole adventure was fueled by our desire to tear down the scary walls of traditional therapy, making it a welcoming space for the younger crowd (and under-resourced communities) to navigate their complex emotions and thoughts. We firmly believe healing and growth can come from creative arts and play, especially for kids and teens. Then, something unique happened. We have been given the opportunity to deliver therapeutic services back to where my story kicked off. We teamed up with the Camden Board of Education and started working with 4 schools, including my alma mater, Forest Hill. This partnership goes beyond a professional achievement; it's a personal acknowledgment of the community that shaped me. Now, my team and I are integrating mental health services into the weekly life of these schools, helping students manage stress, recover from setbacks, and feel more at ease. We want to keep this going and even grow it. That's why we're rolling out a petition to keep mental health services alive and kicking in Camden Schools. It's more than just a push for emotional and mental support for students; it's about fostering a school culture of kindness and understanding.
