One of the biggest challenges remains the need to gain a holistic view of each client, regardless of the number or types of accounts – SMA, UMA, MFW, rep-as-portfolio manager, discretionary, non-discretionary, self-service, etc. – they have in their portfolios. One of the most effective ways firms are addressing this challenge is through wealth management technology platform consolidation, which also has the benefit of improving advisor efficiency.

    What does that mean? According to Celent, a single wealth management technology infrastructure platform supports “wealth management operations and processes across the front, middle and back offices within a single workflow and infrastructure…and provides channel management and administrative functionality that enables a unified experience for the home office, advisors and investors.”
