    Music Orchestrating Miracles

    Music has the power to move, inspire, heal, and to bring people together like no other art form. It makes miracles happen every day and has the power to change lives. This fundamental truth inspired the formation of Music Orchestrating Miracles (MOM), a not-for-profit organization focused on using music to aid children through education. Chaired by Roy "Gramps" Morgan of the reggae band Morgan Heritage, MOM successfully organized events and projects making a positive impact on people all around…

    Music has the power to move, inspire, heal, and to bring people together like no other art form. It makes miracles happen every day and has the power to change lives. This fundamental truth inspired the formation of Music Orchestrating Miracles (MOM), a not-for-profit organization focused on using music to aid children through education. Chaired by Roy "Gramps" Morgan of the reggae band Morgan Heritage, MOM successfully organized events and projects making a positive impact on people all around the world, including in the US, Jamaica, Trinidad, Kenya, and Ethiopia. In 2011, MOM helped orchestrate a series of events under the banner “Give Africa Hope”, rallying Africans & friends of Africa in the dispora to help with the relief efforts. With the creation of a benefit concert series in Dallas, Texas, concert proceeds helped fund sending participating artists and support teams to East Africa to serve as goodwill ambassadors and to generate additional awareness through sharing their experiences through social media. Participating artists in the inaugural campaign included Gramps & Peetah Morgan of Morgan Heritage, J Boog, Alaine, & Anthony David.
