    MLC is an alternative school where students spend their careers working on developing a portfolio of their work. As part of their senior capstone work, they must present that portfolio to the review committee, discussing how their experiences at MLC helped them grow as students and as citizens. As a member of the review committee, I listened to these presentations and offered feedback and constructive criticism.

The Leadership Council is a 'round table' of 12 instructors who have shown exemplary performance and leadership within the instructor corps. The Leadership Council serve as liaison between the instructor corps and organization staff, and contribute to the development and testing of new curriculum. LC members also serve as role models and mentors within in the instructor community.
