Each team member spoke on how they developed merchandise surrounding university or athletic anniversaries and special events. For Purdue's portion in the presentation, I decided to focus on our Hammer Down Cancer campaign and how merchandise was created to support the athletic special event. By looking at data from Cone Communications Social Impact Study in 2013, I was able to understand the challenges and opportunities facing our Hammer Down Cancer campaign and developed a series of recommendations and solutions for the campaign to educate my peers on what principles to focus on when creating Corporate Social Responsibility Product/Campaigns. For example: provide ongoing and transparent proof of the impact - it's not just about standing for philanthropic causes, it's about progress toward solutions (educate your consumer).
