    Database security has evolved; data security professionals have developed numerous techniques and approaches to assure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This paper will show that the Traditional Database Security, which has focused primarily on creating user accounts and managing user privileges to database objects are not enough to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This paper is a compilation of different journals, articles and classroom discussions will focus on unifying the process of securing data or information whether it is in use, in storage or being transmitted. Promoting a change in Database Curriculum Development trends may also play a role in helping secure databases. This paper will take the approach that if one make a conscientious effort to unifying the Database Security process, which includes Database Management System (DBMS) selection process, following regulatory compliance, analyzing and learning from the mistakes of others, Implementing Networking Security Technologies, and Securing the Database, may prevent database breach.

CMS is facilitating this endeavor through the collection of information about the outcome of services rendered on submitted Medicare claims that have had CPT and HCPCS Quality Data codes populated by the provider. These codes are then used to compute analytical statistics for provider feedback reports using Cognos 8 as the OLAP reporting tool. The web interface/portal portlet is based on the Aqua Logic Platform a component of the WebLogic application suite from Oracle Corp (BEA Systems Inc.).

    • Loading of Actuals on a weekly basis ensuring that OutlookSoft and the Business Objects XI report tied out. Discrepancies and variances were analyzed to locate what projects and intersections were causing the imbalances. Updated Hierarchy Tracker to ensure Child and Parent projects were added to OutlookSoft Dimension files and remapped in Pyxis for weekend processing.

    • Help create Requirement Traceability Matrix. Creating Demo Scripts, Functional and Technical Requirements using Accenture Templates and RFPs for technical and service specification, Data collection Key Metrics, and detail learning plan.
    • Manage and lead vendor research and meetings of research finding based on BGE criteria, which includes Long Term Planning and Prioritization, Resource Allocation, Support for Multi-tiered Project Hierarchies, Market Presence, and Integration and Architecture.
