Alright, content creators! Let's talk about the apps that'll make your life so much easier. Before we dive into the good stuff, let me just say: finding the right tools can be a game-changer. Trust me, I've been there - drowning in ideas but struggling to bring them to life. These apps? They're like your digital sidekicks, helping you whip up amazing content without losing your mind. So let's get into it! 1. Capcut This bad boy is my ride-or-die for editing reels. I use it for my own stuff and for Reka clients too. The free version is pretty awesome but I went for paid because of the cloud access. It's a lifesaver when I'm working with my team and they have access to continue editing from my first cuts. 2. Notion If you've been following me, you know this is where I stash all my AI prompts. But that's not all - I've got a whole separate page just for dumping content ideas. It's like my digital brain. I literally call the page “Second Brain”. 3. ChatGPT This is where the magic starts. Need ideas? Script help? ChatGPT's got your back. It's my first stop for brainstorming before we figure out if an idea's actually worth pursuing. 4. TikTok Using TikTok as a social media platform is just the tip of the iceberg. TikTok is my secret weapon for research. Viral trends, niche stuff, keywords - you name it. It's how I nail down the perfect content for my clients. What are your go-to tools?​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Running an agency with your spouse can really be a rewarding journey. When I started the agency, Reka Studio, 2 years ago, I knew it’ll be an incredible journey. But it got better after 6 months in when I got my wife’s company to merge with us. Of course, this journey is filled with both immense challenges and rewards. Building a business together as spouses is one of the most difficult yet most gratifying experiences that any two people can share. Which is why usually on The Golden Nuggets Podcast, whenever I get guests who are running their business together with their spouse, I usually ask, “Do you bring business talk to bed?” While there are plenty of challenges, especially maintaining a work-life balance, the rewards are worthwhile. Not many couples can say they spend plenty of time together and this is spending time building something that both of us believe in. Most of the time, the takeaways on the podcast for couples running a business together are the similar. Constant communication is essential. We don't let disagreements fester but have learned to bring in neutral third-party perspectives (the team usually) when needed. At the end of the day, we respect each other as equals, even if our workplace roles differ. We appreciate how our diverse backgrounds complement each other. Does working so closely together test our marriage at times? Absolutely. Is it worth it? Without a doubt. For any entrepreneurial couple considering the leap, buckle up. Don't. Build. A. Brand. If you're a beginner, you shouldn't build a brand. Building a brand too early is kind of like selling lemonade from your garage… using Amazon's "best practices" (for Amazon). Why? Almost all branding advice out there comes from significantly bigger, more influential brands. It's not how they go there. Just thinking about it will make your life 13X harder. So… Focus on: 1. Being a better human. 2. Making better content. 3. Making MORE content. And you will win. You'll standardize your brand later. You'll make it fancy later. Deal with becoming a brand worth following now.

Since 2022, one single brand has paid me over $25k as a microinfluencer. All because of ONE message that I sent on LinkedIn in mid 2022 using my framework, The Anti-Pitch Method. First Time Founder #3: Niches are in the Riches If you are something to everyone, then you are nothing to everyone. Dan Robinson and I couldn’t find a niche for our software and we kept getting pulled in different directions. We weren’t talking to the right people and we weren’t resonating with them because we didn’t really know who we were selling to. If I were to do our business again, I would find one industry that really needed our help and quadruple down on them until we squeezed every last customer in that industry. Anyone who tells me they are “industry-agnostic” in their startup, they are fighting an uphill battle. When you don’t start with a super specific niche here’s what happens: - You have no messaging - You have no consistency - Your product is pulled in every direction - Your credibility suffers Those are just a few of the things that can happen. Dial in your niche, nail the crap out of it and exhaust that market. Only then can you have the liberty of expanding to other industries and markets.

Should I invest in TikTok shop and how the f*** do we do that? I'm getting this question daily and my resounding answer after speaking with dozens of brands who are crushing it on TTS, agencies in the space and TikTok directly is.... 1000% yes. Let me tell you why. First of all, let's cut out the noise 1. IGNORE THE 'BAN' This news has taken over headlines but I argue that the best brands are 100% ignoring this potentiality for a few reasons. An outright ban is unlikely, a divestiture to another company is possible and so is the potential it gets reversed in court. Regardless, this ignores the facts that: - 150 million Americans sign on to TikTok every month - the average American user spends 55 mins on TikTok DAILY These are outrageous numbers. We're in an attention economy, and TikTok has an enormous share of that attention. 2. Some brands are doing $2 million+ a month on TikTok Shop I won't say who but I've met multiple notable brands (that are not low AOV products) absolutely crushing it on TTS. The larger point here is the fact that SOME brands have already figured out the system and making it work. It's illogical to ignore the channel with this being true, especially because the investment to get into TTS is relatively low. 3. We're entering phase 2 of TikTok Shop Phase 1 was hectic, lower AOV products flooded the marketplace. The traditional drop shipping type products dominated the feed. This may appeal to a different economic buyer than many of the products you sell but I can tell you EVERY demographic is on TikTok. In phase 2 we're going to see higher quality brands slowly enter the platform and higher quality creators beginning to embrace the model. 4. The creator embracing TikTok Shop is evolving daily In the first phase, many creators who were crushing it on TikTok Shop didn't care about their own brand dilution. These are usually smaller creators but I'm seeing a huge ground swell of mid market TikTok creators beginning to perform well. Some of these creators are paid partially upfront and partially through the commission structure. 5. It's a numbers game, so don't be late Top creators are already experiencing a surplus of requests. This platform, unlike YouTube and Instagram, is much more about maximizing your top of funnel prospecting. On IG and YT, I would argue it's much better to go after a more targeted creator approach where you build relationships with specific creators over time. TikTok Shop is really a numbers game for now. Most of the best brands are automating the outreach to thousands of creators a day, getting them through TikTok's native seeding features and then doubling down on top performers after the first few weeks. Over the past few weeks I've asked over two dozen agency founders what their biggest pain point is. Over 90% of them have said lead generation, pipeline, or some variation of that. 2023 was a brutal year for many agencies. In many cases, 2024 isn't looking much better. So what IS the solution to this lead generation problem? In my experience, it comes down to a few things that need to be sorted out (IN THIS SPECIFIC ORDER). 👉 1. You need to focus around your best fit clients. You can call this positioning or niching down, but the bottom line is you need to focus. Agencies that do a wide range of things for a wide range of clients will have a hard time getting referrals from anyone beyond existing clients. Not only that, but they'll have trouble establishing strategic partnerships, writing focused content, and even closing clients. You need to become a master of the biggest pain points your target clients have and if you have to many clients, that work will quickly become impossible. 👉 2. You need to leverage strategic partnerships. While content is a great way to showcase your expertise, it takes time. Word of mouth referrals from a trust partner bring you warm leads, shorter sales cycles. But to get started here, you need to know who your best fit clients are (the first step). Start by asking your clients what other vendors they trust the most and use that as a starting point to identify top partners. 👉 3. You need to craft short and long form content (in that order). Social content has a short shelf life, but it can tell you a lot about how different topics, thought leadership, and stories resonate with your target market. Long form content has a much longer shelf life and can compound in impact over time. The key is to bring these two things together. Test ideas on social—go deep via long-form content with the winning ones. But to get started, you first need to focus on understanding the pain points of your best fit clients (the first step) There's plenty more detail I could go into, but over and over again, I see this order of operation as the most effective way to begin building a more predictable inbound lead pipeline.
