Understand your objectives: There’s no “one size fits all” retirement income solution. Retirees should evaluate their expenses, income sources, retirement age, expected withdrawal rate, and other details, and revisit, periodically. 2. Consider market risks and opportunities: Solutions should balance market and longevity risk, include inflation-hedging to preserve purchasing power, and adapt to changing market conditions and asset valuations over time. 3. Evaluate the options: There are many guaranteed and non-guaranteed options available to retirees. Understanding how they compare to your objectives for payment consistency, liquidity, and capital preservation are critical. PIMCO has resources to help in this evaluation. With interest rates near a 22-year high, bonds are offering more value than they have in a long time. So, while some investors may be concerned with current economic uncertainty, Fidelity Portfolio Manager Brett Sumsion sees opportunity. To grow your financial advisor practice, focus on your core functions and outsource investment management. This Morningstar article https://lnkd.in/ewrj-x6W makes a strong case (and one familiar to our LibertyFi, LLC partners) about how outsourcing can free up advisors' time. 💡I was struck by the story of Tractor Supply, one of the top-performing stocks of the past 20 years. While we all know and expect certain companies to be on this list (Amazon, Apple, etc.), Tractor Supply managed to thrive by focusing on its core business — selling products that meet the lifestyle needs of farmers and ranchers. The moral of the story: focus on what you know and outsource the rest. 💡Fidelity's research indicates that advisors who outsource investment management, can gain approximately nine extra hours per week. That has the potential to free up about an entire workweek every month. This leads to higher asset growth, increased revenue, and more new clients. This approach allows advisors to tailor their services to better meet client needs and stand out in a crowded market. 💡I love this point: “By tailoring services to meet the specific needs of clients and freeing up more time to be available to clients, advisors can differentiate themselves in a crowded market.” This article really emphasizes why I could not be more excited about what LibertyFi and Aptus Capital Advisors have going on and the way we are able to support advisors.
