You want to improve employee engagement. What are the most effective ways to measure it?
Your employees, in their everyday interactions, are constantly communicating, whether through words or actions. Remember, even silence speaks volumes. When employees express their thoughts and concerns, it's vital to demonstrate genuine empathy towards their needs and perspectives. Make it crystal clear to your team that their voices are not only heard but valued. Reinforce this connection by explicitly stating, "You said this, and we listened. Here's what we've done." This level of transparency fosters trust and cultivates a culture of collaboration. Let's not overlook the significance of celebrating victories and milestones together. By amplifying wins, we infuse the journey with meaning and motivation.

How can you creatively challenge the status quo with design thinking principles?
In my experience, the first step is to create a culture & environment of inclusion, belonging and transparency. Psychological safety must be created prior to the design thinking process. Otherwise, you will not get real engagement, participation or the buy-in required to execute change and innovation. For all intensive purposes you’ll get design thinking theater🎭 and poor unsustainable results 😬🥺.

What are the most effective ways to build buy-in for HR transformation and change initiatives?
In my experience, we must not forget that HR not only has employee and leader experiences but they help mold the culture in which created employee sentiments about the employer. Ultimately, it determines if an employee would recommend someone else to work there. Prior to doing a transformation effort, an as is employee experience assessment may be a great idea to improve the chances of success. Identifying and addressing the barriers to the transformation is key. What are the benefits and challenges of practicing gratitude and optimism in your profession?
In my experience. Acts of gratitude also improve our health and spiritual walk. We all know that negativity results in sickness in the body. Conversely, gratitude releases emotions of joy and happiness which can also improve health. Finally, your gratitude will overflow and help others in their moments of need. Since you cannot give from an empty cup… always intentionally fill up your gratitude cup.
