“Kristin was a pivotal resource in creating our entirely new organization within Home Depot of over 13000 associates both salary and hourly, across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam; the Merchandise Execution Team (MET). She continues to provide HR generalist support to this group, serving as a subject matter expert on the team and HR processes. Kristin helped design the organizational structure of our field teams and assessed the responsibilities of our store support team. She wrote job descriptions, as well as designed and developed interview assessments for the various positions. She was an active participant in the hiring process for regional and district leaders and oversaw candidate pools for the hourly supervisor hiring. She tracked and reported to senior management on the status of the hourly hiring during each of the four project phases, allowing for transparency of progress and identification of any market/wage challenges. Kristin partnered with other areas of HR to design the hiring process, working to overcome system limitations to insure timely hiring and onboarding of staff; meeting goals within each project phase to hire between 2000-5000 associates within a two week timeframe. She responded expeditiously to any issues that arose in the hiring process, working with other subject matter experts to insure timely resolution. In the initial phase, this included working through over 700 paychecks where benefits were double deducted because the transition to the team moved internal hires to another pay entity. Kristin worked tirelessly with the Payroll team to get manual checks issued to impacted associates along with their initial paychecks. Kristin designed the team-training curriculum; aligning learning plans with the rest of the organization. She also developed a mentoring program for acclimating new associates to the team. Kristin facilitated changes to standard operating procedures or policies to fit the uniqueness of the team (traveling hourly associates versus working in a fixed location) while insuring the team only made changes to standards where needed; driving consistency across business units where possible. From a project manager perspective, Kristin was a dream team member, always meeting her deadlines for deliverables or completing tasks early. Kristin was an anchor that the team relied upon to help develop the organization that exists today. She met each new challenge head on and worked endlessly to find workable solutions that allowed this team to roll out one year ahead of schedule. The past two and a half years of working with Kristin on this project has been a pleasure. I look forward to any opportunity to work with Kristin again in the future.”
