Facilitating Utility-Solar Collaboration on Net Metering in New York

Under the name of the Solar Progress Partnership, utilities including ConEdison and National Grid joined with SolarCity, SunEdison, and SunPower on a filing that put forth a framework for the transition from the current full-retail value of net metering to the NY REV-envisioned future of a new system of compensation for distributed energy resources (DER). Advanced Energy Economy
The U.S. advanced energy market is now $200 billion, nearly double the revenue of beer, more than pharmaceutical manufacturing, and approaching wholesale consumer electronics. Solar PV revenue grew 21% over last year, wind was up 75%, building efficiency grew 11%, and energy storage multiplied over 10 times year-to-year.
This is the fourth annual report of market size, by revenue, of the advanced energy industry, worldwide and in the United States. -
