For 10 million American children, having an incarcerated parent often results in school behavior and performance problems as well as social and institutional stigma and shame. Approximately half of children with incarcerated parents are under ten years old; Without care or intervention, a very high percentage (60% - 80%) of these children will end up in prison.

One of the causes for this alarming impact is the lack of education. According to figures from the Children's Defense Fund, 1 of every 8 school children will not graduate. This means that the population currently at-risk of dropping out could be as many as 6,680,625 children.

There are children who are making an attempt to overcome these challenges and come to school carrying their burdens and issues with them and those are the children we are attempting to reach through this initiative.

The fact is, that if everyone chipped in, even nominally, there would be more than enough resources to guarantee clean water, food and shelter for the entire world, to educate and empower, to micro-lend and to build tomorrow’s leaders while also preserving mother nature.

Doing My Part was created to broaden the fundraising landscape and through a common call to action: the call for everyone to do their part. Through widespread individual participation for a single common goal combined with simplicity and transparency in giving, Doing My Part is igniting an individual giving movement that will last into the indefinite future.

Through widespread philanthropic action combined with the mass media and entertainment sector, Doing My Part introduces a world of inspiration and positive emotion that has not been available, or even possible, in the history of public service. Through an efficient and scalable fundraising plan, adapting to the quickly evolving webisode, online video reality TV trend combined with a new and exciting movement and culture, Doing My Part is a realistic catalyst to social change and to solving many real world problems of the 21st Century.

The key objective of the platform will be to generate and nurture a lasting entrepreneurial culture and platform, performing the vitally important tasks of creating jobs and transforming the community.

The fund will 'quarterback' the activities that will help the ecosystem work in cohesion to be the platform for 'entrepreneurial capitalism.
