“I came to know Mark when my organization contracted for a team to assist with the implementation of a new patient engagement technology. During the presentation of what he and team could bring to our project stood out from the three teams that we evaluated. Keep in mind, this was new technology and we didn't have the option to look for folks who had experience with a specific solution. Within a week of getting access to the solution, Mark was able to quickly translate what was needed to his team members. He and his team created exceptional deliverables and conducted very productive work sessions with physician teams on extremely tight deadlines. No easy task! Mark's depth of healthcare and technology knowledge is evident in his ability to build rapport with and converse with the physicians at a detailed level and then quickly turn around convert this information into the technical requirements to our development team. A truly rare skillset. Mark brought limitless energy to work every day. Mark anticipated the needs of the project and would present creative but realistic solutions to our most challenging problems before they were requested. The world needs more folks like Mark. I feel privileged to have worked with someone who is such a quick study, trustworthy and collaborative and comes with my highest recommendation. ”

Characterization of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Active-Duty US Military Personnel Receiving Interdisciplinary Care at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence
Sleep
Among active-duty service members (ADSMs), obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is associated with decreased quality of life and military readiness/retention. Limited evidence suggests mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) patients have increased OSA incidence, but little is known about the underlying physiology. This study aims to characterize OSA in treatment-seeking ADSMs with a history of remote mTBI and/or persistent neurobehavioral symptoms to improve detection and early intervention.
