Partnered with the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and volunteered for a program they have called Backpack Buddies. Backpack buddies is designed to provide children from low-income households with 10-12 pounds of nutritious kid friendly groceries for the weekend when free school lunches and breakfast isn't provided. As a group we organized and sorted over 1,000 pounds of food donations to make it easier on other volunteers when packing the kids backpacks for the upcoming weekend. Backpack buddies…
