Paliperidone palmitate compared to oral antipsychotic treatment in recently incarceration patients with schizophrenia
- Present
A multicenter, randomized, open-label, blinded rater comparison of paliperiperidone palmitate vs. oral antipsychotic medication, with patients assigned to the latter via an equipoise-stratified randomization. This is a long-term study, with a primary endpoint of time to treatment failure - which encompasses a number of components including rehospitalization and recidivism. The study is ongoing.
