He was always open and honest, and wasn’t afraid to admit what he didn’t know. But he seemed to always figure things out really quickly and allowed me to focus primarily on the development of our product. Homebound or neighborhood-bound LGBTQ+ older people can often have little weekly contact with the outside other than visits with health professionals, and virtually no contact with members of the LGBTQ+ community. Friendly Visitor volunteers are paired with these individuals and commit to visiting their match once a week for an hour or two, and calling to check in between visits.
