How can you use user testing to improve your digital strategy?
User testing is obviously critical, but I’ve often seen issues with the results arise, based on: 1. Questions developed with the intention of leading to a desired response 2. An over-focus on what’s deemed a trend in responses based on too small a sample pool 3. Leaning too heavily into feedback that’s easiest to respond to/execute against It’s fairly obvious, but recruiting a diverse panel of testers is too often overlooked for ease of recruitment. Those who respond most quickly to participate are often not representative of your widest potential pool of consumers. Separately, the goal of the testing has to be learning as opposed to validation so people too close to it should establish information buckets and extract themselves.
