“I met Sean when I walked into Black Lime about a week before it opened in 2010. A friend had raved about the place; I was living in Warandyte at the time and Ringwood (Black Lime's location) was even more of a culinary desert than my area! I was immediately impressed with Sean's professional manner, wonderful sense of humour and wisdom, far beyond his young years. We talked about his venue, and by the end of the best coffee I'd had in eons, we had discussed the idea of my band playing at Black Lime (great name!) on Sundays. The Tracy Bartram Band enjoyed a weekly residency at Black Lime from November - February 2011. In that time, I watched this incredible young man handle all the teething problems that any brand new venture can create. Sean was level headed, calm, polite and respectful to all of his customers, my band members, my extended friends, family and fans who came to Black Lime during that period. He was always ready to laugh, even though he was working around the clock on his brand new 'baby'. He injected his own passion and enthusiasm for his new venture into all of the staff, from the chef to the dishwasher. He trained his people incredibly well and treated them all with respect. Sean has the wonderful support of a great team and a marvellous family. He has strong values, a wonderfully mature and respectful manner and is a genuinely lovely guy.
