A candidate is unhappy with interview feedback. How can you effectively address their concerns?
Feedback after an interview is key. Candidates wait anxiously to hear and sometimes do not hear at all. Recruiters depend on hiring managers, who sometimes do not understand how important it is for the candidates and for the talent acquisition team to have it promptly and in a format that is complete and productive. I wish I had a way to always provide feedback shortly after the interview, but the reality is different and there is not much the talent acquisition team can do. A while back I saw a post where they urged every CEO to apply anonymously to a position in their own company so they could evaluate what the candidates were going through when trying to get a job there. That might help solve the problem!

What are the most effective job analysis methods for high-emotional-intelligence positions?
Emotional Intelligence is probably the most important characteristic of a leader or member of a team. The absence of it makes for a "high maintenance" employee. Not flexible, not empathetic, and difficult to adapt to change. The high EI people have a great sense of the "big picture" and a great understanding of human interaction. They have empathy and know how to communicate objectives, celebrate wins, constructively manage losses, and create professional boundaries. Managers and recruiters who possess it - will quickly recognize the trait in his/her employees or future hires. The absence of EI is a lot more detrimental than any hard skill. Individuals who have great EI can learn and adapt quickly and become valuable members of any team.
