A big 'thank you' to Rachel Toncelli, EdD and Ilka K. for rounding out EnglishUSA's Spring webinar series with their talk on MagicSchool AI. There are so amazing #genAI tools popping up however many of them are primarily aimed at K-12 educators for specific content. It is extremely helpful to have resources like this to process GenAI tools through a language acquisition lens and for a higher ed demographic. News: ETS is partnering with OECD - OCDE to design and deliver the PISA-based Test for Schools (PBTS) digital assessment! Announced this week at EWF, the impact of this assessment is huge. The PISA test measures literacy in reading, mathematics, and science for students around the world. This data is used to inform educational policy and better understand on a global level what’s working and what’s not. The PBTS complements the PISA test by specifically gathering data at the school level, indicating the performance of schools around the world. Equipped with this knowledge, organizations and educational institutions know where to look to find where education is working well — and what novel solutions they can learn from.
