In summary, its insights inform educational practices and decision-making in the region. 🌟 "Institutional leaders are increasingly aware that learning analytics are becoming more and more sophisticated and can be used in a number of ways to improve student success, including the development of personalized and adaptive learning experiences, identification of at-risk students (early intervention) and students who are struggling, and identification of curriculum areas and pedagogical approaches that may need to be revised or updated. Despite the increase in awareness and predicted increase in the adoption of learning analytics technologies, the use of analytics to inform teaching and learning practices is still evolving, and many institutions face challenges in harnessing analytics at a larger scale." #learning #intelliboard #studentexperience

School districts used an average of 2,739 different tools in 2023-24 — an 8% jump from the previous year. I like the advice on how to deal with employer confusion on what to do with digital credentials - speak in the language of skills and competencies, and narrow your focus to one industry or region. EDUCAUSE released the latest edition of the 2024 Horizon Report this morning. Lots of good takeaways but I wanted to highlight one that is a simple, key, yet often overlooked point... Students Demand Flexible Learning "Students are increasingly interested in having access to multiple modes for learning and more choice when it comes to deciding how to participate." During my time in post-secondary education, I opted for college over university because of diverse, high-touch learning models available. As an auditory learner, having digital copies of the lecture notes I could reference in platforms like the LMS removed the need to copy every word from my instructor, enabling me to focus on active listening and drastically improving my post-secondary success. A prevalent discourse in higher education revolves around a push to "return to normal." However, student expectations have evolved. It's imperative for universities, colleges, technology partners, and governments to pivot towards providing adaptable learning models that cater to varied learning styles and the evolving workforce landscape. In today's corporate environment, in-person sessions for annual compliance certification and training are increasingly being supplemented by online resources. Why should education be any different? It's time to adapt by offering engaging, personalized learning experiences across multiple mediums, ensuring success for all learners and aligning with the demands of the contemporary workforce.
