How can you promote servant leadership in hospitality teams?
Fostering a culture of servant leadership begins with the humility to serve your team. Your willingness to make their needs a priority will make a bigger impression than anything you say. Learn what challenges your people are facing and find ways to provide support, even if that can only be encouragement. If your team thinks they are simply a small cog in a big machine, or they think you do not practice what you preach, then you will not be able to connect with them and motivate them to serve others. You can always find ways to model this behavior for your team - pick up trash, open a door, jump start a car with a dead battery. You must first invest your time in your people before you can expect them to lead with a servant's heart.

How can you calculate the franchise fee?
An important consideration when comparing fees from different franchisors is to carefully examine the services they provide in exchange for the fee. While both may offer training support, one may send a team of trainers to assist in your initial opening while another may only provide a template for you to conduct the training. Or one may provide complete real estate support including a representative to tour the market with you determining the best site while another may simply offer approval of the site you choose. The level of the franchisors contribution to your opening is critical to your success.
