Job Description

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our growing team and fill a Mortgage Loan Underwriter position. The underwriter is responsible for reviewing mortgage applications and the credit, income, asset, and collateral documentation that supports it for satisfactory risk and eligibility to agency and investor standards. We are looking for detailed and motivated individuals to make sound decisions that lead to successful homeownership.

Responsibilities:

· Review and analyze loan files submitted for borrower to ensure file meets loan program requirements. Includes analysis of Credit, Capacity, Capital, Collateral and supporting documentation.

· Identify - calculate loan risk

· Condition files for missing - supporting documentation

· Review and clear conditions

· Approve, counter or deny loan file

Qualifications:

· Detail oriented

· Team player and solution driven

· Follow directions

· Familiarity with Ellie Mae Encompass is a plus

· Experience working in a multiple investor environment

Job Requirements:

. Minimum 2 years experience with Encompass

. 203K Loan Experience

· Minimum 3 years of residential mortgage underwriting experience

· Minimum 3 years Underwriting VA loans

· Experience working with Fannie Mae Desktop Underwriter and Freddie Mac Loan Prospector

· Knowledge of FNMA, and FHLMC policies and guidelines

· Working knowledge of various fraud tools

This is a Full-time position; Standard hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm.
