Job Summary
The Academic Success Coordinator is a multifaceted role designed to support the academic success and advancement of students. Reporting to the Director of Student Academic Support Services, this position oversees the coordination and integration of tutoring services, early alert interventions, and testing center activities. By managing a comprehensive support system that includes supervising peer and professional tutors, coordinating academic support programs, and ensuring efficient testing center operations, the Academic Success Coordinator plays a critical role in enhancing the educational experience for all students. This role demands a commitment to outstanding customer service and fostering equitable relationships within the university community.

You Will Be Responsible For

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of academic support services, including tutoring and testing, ensuring high-quality support and adherence to university and regulatory standards.
- Implement and assess the Early Alert Program (EAP), coordinating interventions and support for students facing academic challenges.
- Collaborate with faculty, student academic support, and student experience teams to develop and enhance programs that promote academic success.
- Manage and train staff, including peer and professional tutors and test proctors, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet students' needs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to service usage, operations, and student progress, and utilize this data to inform strategic planning and improvements.
- Coordinate with relevant university departments and external agencies to maintain accreditation standards and compliance with educational policies.
- Develop and maintain strong collegial relationships with all university constituents, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
What Will You Need
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field or five (5) years teaching, tutoring, or management experience in higher education.
- National Tutoring Association (either at hire or within 6 months of hire date)
- Strong management and supervisory skills, with a focus on student development, performance management, and team leadership.
- Ability to tutor in undergraduate and graduate courses
- Ability to train, supervise, and teach students how to tutor effectively
- National Tutoring Association (either at hire or within 6 months of hire date)
- Master’s degree in education or related field and teaching, tutoring, and/or management experience in higher education; demonstrated leadership and creative accomplishments in a student-support role at an institution of higher learning.
