### Accountant

We are excited to assist a reputable and well-established Texas E&P company in their search for an outstanding Accountant. This role involves a mix of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial duties, along with clerical support for supervisors as needed. You will handle daily accounting tasks, including general ledger posting, accounts payable, and various ad hoc requests.

Location: Longview, Texas

Key Responsibilities

• Record and manage all financial transactions for multiple entities, including cash receipts, journal entries, tax entries, accounts payable, and financial statements.
• Prepare and reconcile multiple bank accounts.
• Annually prepare tax work papers for various entities.
• Assist with and review monthly Joint Bill processing.
• Adapt to various tasks as needed.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable, credit applications, and scanning.
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 5 to 8 years of experience with fundamental accounting procedures.
• Ability to multitask and handle fluctuating workloads.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Capable of working well under general supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  
  

Preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Quorum Accounting Software is a plus.
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

• Base Salary: $65,000 to $75,000
• Bonus: 7% of base salary
• Work Schedule: Flexible work arrangement with 2 days remote and 3 days in office, or fully remote within Texas with 3 weeks remote and 1 week in office (company covers accommodation costs for the week in Longview).
