Summary

This role is a direct report to the Head of Financial Shared Services and will be based in Dallas, TX. This leadership role oversees the company's financial planning, debt financing, budget management, and accounting operations. The Controller ensures accounting procedures conform to IFRS principles. Responsibilities include producing periodic financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and implementing a robust system of controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial planning, debt financing, budgets, and accounting operations
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards
  • Coordinate across finance departments including Group Finance, Regional Controllers, and general ledger
  • Supervise general ledger, accounting team
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of bank recs, assets, depreciation, and journal entries
  • Prepare periodic financial statements and reporting
  • Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and system of internal controls
  • Manage outsourced accounting functions
  • Provide financial analyses and support annual audits
  • Maintain organized accounting records and files
  • Complete government and regulatory reports as required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience at a major company, preferably with a CPA or CMA certification and Big 4 public accounting experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong analytical skills and expertise with Excel, Word, AX/Navision, Hyperion and other accounting software
  • Thorough knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles and IFRS Standards
  • Expertise in automated financial reporting systems
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following.

Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment.

  • Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
  • Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
  • Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.
  • May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
  • Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
  • Ability to hear in person and via phone.
