The Analog Garage is ADI’s Research and Advanced Development Center in downtown Boston and empowers ADI by pioneering breakthrough technologies. The Algorithmic Solutions Group within Analog Garage researches and develops cutting-edge, efficient algorithms to convert data into intelligence that solves society’s most important problems. The team leverages its experience in the fields of signal processing, computer vision, computational linguistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, communication systems, and other areas of electrical engineering and computer science to create impactful solutions.

The Algorithmic Solutions Group is seeking a driven and experienced Algorithms Lead for Health Sciences to initiate and lead the development of healthcare solutions with state-of-the-art algorithms at their core, and a promise to solve the biggest healthcare challenges facing humanity.



Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying domains within healthcare sciences and technologies where ADI has the "right to disrupt". This involves
  • Thoroughly understanding ADI's strengths, including our array of current products and manufacturing capabilities,
  • Pinpointing promising domains that present both significant challenges and opportunities for substantial returns where ADI can lead, or can close the gap to lead, in alignment with emerging healthcare trends
  • Analyzing the competitive landscape to uncover key hurdles and prospects, evaluating cutting-edge developments, and formulating visionary hypotheses for these domains,
  • Championing programs to prove technical feasibility of groundbreaking solutions, lead stakeholder discussions, iterate product-market fit, craft market entry strategies, and deliver initial viable products to lead customers. .
  • Creating a research and development agenda and overseeing a group of researchers; scaling management responsibilities in tandem with the growth of approved initiatives by guiding program champions,
  • Working together with Deep-Tech and Platform & Systems groups of the Analog Garage to jointly advance the mission of the Garage and collaborating closely with Central AI and External Research Collaboration teams,
  • Work with other researchers and engineers, inside and outside the Algorithmic Solutions Group, to connect our work with our mission statement,
  • Stay abreast of state-of-the-art algorithms, and research advances beyond the state of the art in health sciences.



Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in Biomedical, Bioelectrical, Biomechanical Engineering or related fields; or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of industry experience with history of increasing managerial responsibilities.
  • Executional excellence as demonstrated by successful projects and development of medical products.
  • A strong background in algorithm development and competitive mathematical skills
  • Ability to influence without authority and drive actionable results.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a bias for action.
  • Proven collaboration skills in cross-functional settings.
  • Effective communication skills with stakeholders across various levels.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity.

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
