We are in need of an Applications Associate Director to join our in-house Applications Solutions Group in the Evansville, IN, Bowling Green, KY or Nashville, TN area. The Applications Associate Director plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions via a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and relationship-building skills. This is a business-facing and technology-facing role that will identify and analyze problems, document requirements, collaborate with technical teams on solutions, and develop and manage projects. We’re looking for an individual passionate about using technology to make a positive impact on others. This role offers growth potential, providing the opportunity to grow into a more senior leadership position within the company. Keller Schroeder is unable to provide sponsorship at this time.


Responsibilities


Business Development and Strategic Planning:

  • Lead business development in Applications by identifying potential engagements with existing clients and new prospects.
  • Coordinate effectively with Keller Schroeder Directors in all divisions and with Account Managers for opportunities where additional subject matter expertise is needed to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for the application development function, in alignment with overall business objectives.


Business Analysis:

  • Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document project requirements.
  • Communicate technical concepts in a proactive, business-like, and courteous way through written and verbal methods.
  • Ensure that technical solutions align with business needs and goals.


Technical Solution Design:

  • Work closely with technical teams to design solutions that address business requirements.
  • Provide input on system architecture, software design, and technology choices.
  • Ensure that technical designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Draw from professional experience and exhibit confidence in recommending the best solution and owning it when multiple alternatives exist.


Project Management:

  • Plan, initiate, and manage projects that involve both business and technical components.
  • Develop project scope, objectives, detailed project plans and project proposals.
  • Define project tasks, resource requirements, estimates, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage risks and issues.
  • Present project updates, status reports, and risks to senior management and stakeholders.


Quality Assurance:

  • Demonstrate a passion for testing software solutions and pioneering when appropriate.
  • Ensure that delivered solutions meet quality standards and fulfill business requirements via testing or oversight of testing process.
  • Coordinate testing efforts, including user acceptance testing and quality assurance testing.


Leadership:

  • Demonstrate a passion for putting others first and serving as a humble and hungry servant-leader, assuring our clients’ success, and representing our corporate values.
  • Contribute as an individual and lead others exhibiting humility, positivity, and an ownership mentality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in custom application development, with a strong background in leading and managing software development teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Well versed in application and database design.
  • A solid understanding of modern application architectures and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor the message to a variety of audiences including highly technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Analytical mind with requirements gathering and estimating experience – skilled and willing to ask the extra questions which provide clarity and scope.
  • Intelligent and highly-motivated professional with a solid business acumen, an ownership mentality, and proven people skills.
