Job Description

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Distribution Sales Manager, this position is responsible for providing solutions to customers regarding products by exhibiting the highest form of efficiency and effectiveness and demonstrate the ability to develop solutions to problems.

Essential Duties:

  • Gain customer confidence by successfully assisting customers on more complex issues. This includes, at minimum, customer communication, vendor research, quotation preparation, and connecting with branch sales teams (when required).

Provide team members with technical advice or assistance when needed. This includes all branch sales teams.

  • Identify procedures that need improvement for increased efficiencies, develop and support alternatives.
  • Answer inbound phone calls while logged into the phone que.
  • Assist customer with purchase of Ace products.
  • Utilize efficient and effective research methods to provide quick solutions for customers’ needs.
  • Provide accurate and clear documentation of customer orders and information provided to determine solution.
  • Respond to customer needs and requests in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Identify customers that could have additional sales opportunities and pass to Business Development.
  • Exhibit diligence in the sales process to be sure all calls are answered and customers are helped as quickly as possible.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and etiquette in all communications to customers and coworkers.
  • Utilize NetSuite, Big Commerce and other software to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Follow purchase orders through completion.
  • Enter distribution orders.
  • Accurately calculate customer discounts.
  • Support customers and internal team.
  • Answer incoming phone calls to the main operator extension and route appropriately.
  • Expedite and track orders.
  • Provide freight charges and invoice requests.
  • Process returns.
  • Confirm orders
  • Assist distribution team members as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have any direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Equipment Used:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Standing/Walking: Frequent.

Fine motor coordination/manual dexterity: Frequent.

Material handling:

Floor to waist: Occasional. Lifting may be performed at all levels from floor to overhead, up to 20 pounds.

Pushing/pulling: Occasional.

Physical demand is moderate (according to the dictionary of occupational titles).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel:

No travel is required for this position.
