Applications Trainer

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Applications Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting training sessions, developing comprehensive training materials, and providing ongoing support to end-users. The Applications Trainer will play a crucial role in ensuring users understand and effectively utilize our software applications, enhancing their productivity and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the software applications' features, functionalities, and best practices.
  • Deliver training programs for end-users both in person and virtually using MS Teams.
  • Customize training sessions to meet the specific needs of diverse user groups.
  • Facilitate interactive training sessions to engage participants and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Create engaging and informative training materials such as manuals, guides, videos, and presentations.
  • Ensure training materials are up-to-date with the latest application features and best practices.
  • Design training resources that support various learning styles and preferences.
  • Continuously improve training materials based on user feedback and application updates.
  • Offer continuous support to end-users post-training by addressing queries and troubleshooting issues.
  • Refine training methods as needed to optimize user proficiency and satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback to the development and test teams to contribute to continuous improvement of the software applications.
  • Maintain a knowledge base of common user issues and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a trainer or similar role, preferably in software applications.
  • Proficiency in using MS Teams and other virtual training platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training sessions and materials simultaneously.
  • Customer-oriented with a proactive approach to solving problems and enhancing user experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with creating multimedia training resources such as videos and interactive guides.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in training and development, such as CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development).
  • Experience in developing e-learning modules and using learning management systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.

Compensation And Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $80,132 to $141,325 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
