Job Summary: The Assistant Athletic Director supports the Director of Student Activities and Athletics in various administrative and operational tasks related to the school district’s athletic programs. This part-time stipend position is crucial for the smooth execution of sports events and activities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in scheduling and coordinating game workers, officials, and volunteers for various athletic events.
Support the organization and preparation of competitions and matches, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
Oversee field and facility preparations to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards for all athletic activities.
Collaborate with the Athletic Director in managing equipment inventory, maintenance, and procurement.
Help in the planning and execution of athletic department events, including fundraisers, award ceremonies, and special programs.
Coordinate with other school departments to facilitate the integration of athletic programs with the school’s academic objectives.
Assist in ensuring compliance with all state, district, and school policies and regulations regarding athletic programs.
Engage with students, parents, and community members to foster a positive and supportive environment for the school’s athletic endeavors.
Qualifications
Experience in athletic administration or related field preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Knowledge of public school athletic program regulations and guidelines.
Commitment to student-athlete development and success.
Experience
Prior experience in coaching or athletic program coordination is advantageous.
This is a stipend position paid according to PAEA teacher contract; annual stipend of $9,426
