Responsibilities
Rogers Group is currently seeking an Assistant Corporate Asphalt Plant Manager in Oak Ridge, TN and will travel to surrounding areas. This position reports to the Corporate Asphalt Plants Manager. The successful candidate for this role will have the responsibilities and qualifications summarized below:
Proper implementation of RGI asphalt plant safety procedures.
Assisting with planning and scheduling of the construction of asphalt plant projects.
Tracking, planning, and implementing maintenance programs for asphalt plants.
Ability to inspect asphalt plants for proactive and reactive maintenance.
Ability to operate, diagnose and improve asphalt plant performance as well as bringing innovative new ideas that will increase throughput and plant reliability.
Assuring adherence to safety and operation standards as they affect equipment, production, quality and profitability.
Collaborating with teams to the condition of plants reliability vs demand to best boost profitability.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in an asphalt plant production.
2+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
Experience developing and following a long-term maintenance plan.
Demonstrated ability in identifying, communicating, and implementing best operating practices, including quality, maintenance, production, and safety excellence.
Continuous improvement mindset to improve availability and increase efficiencies in the plants.
Proven safety record and excellent compliance in OSHA safety standards.
Working knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
Travel 50% of the time.
