Under general supervision, direct the activities of the Community Development Department, including the Planning, Housing and Economic Development Divisions. Incumbent exercises independent judgment in determining work methods within guidelines of the City code and comprehensive plan.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in planning, urban development and planning, business or public administration, or closely related field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in community development, construction, planning and zoning services, preferably in a municipal government; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Two (2) Years Of Supervisory Experience Is Required.
A valid Florida driver's license is required.
American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification is highly desirable
Member of American Planning Association or Urban Land Institute is highly desirable.
