Summary

As Assistant Fitness Manager (AFM), you will be an essential part of our Team. This position is responsible for training clients, managing the personal training department and introducing members to our fitness services. The Assistant Fitness Manager ensures that the gym delivers an exceptional fitness experience to all members & clients.

Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Training clients up to 20 hours per week
  • Responsible for Session and Small Group Training evaluation
  • Create & manage action plans to reach overall goals
  • Ensure monthly personal training revenue and sales targets are met.
  • Conduct fitness assessments & introductory programs with members.
  • Maintain all sales percentages & KPI expectations.
  • Consistently achieve sales & revenue targets.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to maintain member relationships and cultivate referrals.
  • Create additional traffic and generate sales.
  • Create and maintain an enjoyable environment for all employees, members, and guests.
  • Personally contact all new members to welcome them to the gym & ensure they schedule/attend their fitness assessment.
    • Maintain at least 4 appointments per day with a 50% show percentage
    • Convert at least 50% off all appointment shows
  • Maintain excellent customer service with members & clients to keep them engaged with their fitness program.
  • Provide effective decision-making regarding customer service issues to provide a positive member experience
  • Responsible for exit interviews/meetings with all canceling clients
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients’ goals.
  • Motivate and inspire clients to get results through goal setting, frequent follow-up, and reassessments.
  • Maintain the personal trainer staff schedule and HIIT+ / SGT schedule according to YouFit Gym’s standards and the gym’s needs.
  • Conduct & participate in management meetings.
  • Recruitment of personal trainers to ensure optimal staffing levels
  • Supervise, guide & develop the personal training staff.
Requirements

  • Current CPT or degree in the field
  • Maintain a CPR / AED certification.
  • Personal training and personal training sales experience
  • Superior communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge in all aspects of fitness.
  • Proven track record of individual success
  • Ability to excel in a fast-changing, diverse environment
  • Has a passion for fitness and helping others
  • Possess a positive attitude
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Punctual, reliable, and organized

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hourly position with 20 hours dedicated to client training/small group classes and the rest allocated to PT sales and management.
