Description Of Work

This Associate Athletic Trainer position will be with the sport of Football, including day-to-day operations, practice/game coverage, and any required travel. Perform a variety of duties implementing the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes within the University of Nebraska Athletic Department under the supervision of the Chief Medical Director, Associate Athletic Director of Athletic Medicine, and Head Football Athletic Trainer. Adherence to all NCAA , conference, and institutional rules and regulations will be required. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Required coverage and travel with the team will involve working long hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Professional degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) In Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program and 5 years relevant, full-time collegiate experience. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential. BOC / NATA certification and ability to obtain Nebraska State licensure required. Emergency response certification ( CPR , basic life support) necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate may have 5 years or more experience as full-time, certified athletic trainer within NCAA D-1 and/or professional athletics. Previous experience providing prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries to student athletes in a football setting preferred.

Posted Salary $65,000/yr. minimum
